Fees

Session fees

Choosing a therapist is an investment in your health, well-being, and future. My fee reflects not only the time we spend together in session, but also the years of education, clinical training, ongoing consultation, and professional development required to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care.

Licensed clinician

  • Initial Intake Assessment (90791) · 60 min$250
  • Individual Psychotherapy (90837) · 60 min$250
  • Individual Psychotherapy (90834) · 45 min$200

Pre-licensed clinician (when available)

  • Initial Intake Assessment (90791) · 60 min$175
  • Individual Psychotherapy (90837) · 60 min$175
  • Individual Psychotherapy (90834) · 45 min$150

Pre-licensed clinicians have completed their graduate education and are working toward independent licensure under the supervision of experienced licensed clinicians. This model provides high-quality care while offering a more affordable fee option for some clients.

Insurance

I participate with several insurance plans. Coverage varies depending on your specific policy, and I encourage you to verify your behavioral health benefits before your first appointment. While I make every effort to assist with insurance verification, clients remain responsible for understanding their individual benefits and any applicable deductibles, copayments, or coinsurance.

If your insurance plan does not include your clinician in its network, I’m happy to provide a superbill upon request. Many plans offer out-of-network benefits, and a superbill can be submitted for possible reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance carrier to learn more about your specific coverage.

Good Faith Estimates

If you are paying privately and not using insurance, federal law allows you to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of your care. This estimate is intended to help you understand your anticipated financial responsibility before beginning treatment.

Scheduling & logistics

Cancellation policy+

Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, may be subject to the full session fee. This policy helps ensure appointment availability for all clients and supports the sustainability of the practice.

All sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Clients must be physically located in a state where I am licensed to practice at the time of each appointment.

To ensure the best experience, please join sessions using a reliable internet connection in a private location where confidentiality can be maintained. A computer, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone is required.

Appointments may be scheduled through the client portal or by contacting the practice directly. If you are a new client, you will receive intake paperwork and appointment instructions before your first session.

Questions

Good to know

Do you accept insurance?+

Yes, I’m in-network with many major plans, including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Kaiser, Optum, and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage can vary by state and plan, so I encourage you to verify your behavioral health benefits before we begin.

What if you’re not in-network with my insurance?+

If your plan doesn’t include your clinician in its network, I’m happy to provide a superbill upon request. Many plans offer out-of-network benefits, and a superbill can be submitted for possible reimbursement. Contact your insurance carrier to learn more about your specific coverage.

Do you offer reduced-fee or affordable sessions?+

Yes. I’m a proud provider with the Open Path Collective, a nonprofit network that connects clients with affordable, reduced-fee psychotherapy. A pre-licensed clinician option may also be available at a lower fee. If cost is a barrier, ask me about these options when we connect.

Are sessions really all online?+

Yes. I practice exclusively via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth, serving clients throughout Hawaiʻi, Virginia, and Florida. All you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection.

What’s the first step?+
